This classic New York steakhouse founded in 1977, is known for its Prime Grade, dry-aged steaks, succulent seafood and excellent service and is already a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The Philadelphia two-story Smith & Wollensky marries its traditional cream colored walls and dark paneling with a large bank of windows that look out over Rittenhouse Square. The second floor provides a veritable kaleidoscope of views as the seasons change, adding a new dimension to the dining experience. Inside, polished wood floors and brass trim are evident throughout, with whimsical American antiques in every possible niche and original artwork and plaques decorating the walls, creating a truly unique dining room. No meal here would be complete without a sampling of the house specialties that pepper the appetizers and sides portion of the menu, such as, smoked Pastrami Salmon, Smith & Wollensky's Pea Soup, Creamed Spinach and Hash Browns.
